Time with each other in Hero's remote Welsh castle & their seductive competition brings them surprising intimacy with each other. But investigation over Hero's older brother's death hampers their burgeoning r/s.I thought [[ASIN:0446611301 Tempted]] and [[ASIN:044661131X Scandal]] were good but this Britton book is even better! This book had the perfect balance of humour, emotionally-involving romance, hot sexual chemistry & love scenes, & even a bit of suspense. The main characters were likeable & their character progression was especially good. I liked how the tortured hero of this book covers his fears with exaggerated rakish innuendoes & sarcastic humour. He really was funny. I liked heroine's grit, bluntness with Hero, her ability to dish his shocking behaviors back at him, & her growing understanding of him. It was fun to read both of them competing to shock each other, which only drove them closer to each other than either expected or desired. The dialogue & overall writing flowed smoothly. It made for a quick & riveting read.
