Claiming His Pregnant Wife

Claiming His Pregnant Wife - Kim Lawrence Heroine quickly falls in love & marries attractive Hero, who she thought was a laborer, within 5 days of their meeting. But she felt deceived after finding out that Hero was really a wealthy businessman. This added to her trust issue after having lived with a father who had many adulterous affairs & a mother who acted like a victim every time but kept on taking him back. So, when she finds him kissing another woman in a public view of the party, she leaves him even though he says that he would never cheat on her & OW kissed him b/c she was drunk. She tries to divorce him but he resists it, especially when he finds out that she's pregnant.

I liked how this Lawrence book dealt with trust in marriage. It was emotionally involving. It was easy to empathize with both Hero & heroine b/c Lawrence does a good job showing us how their personal histories affected their behaviors & assumptions during their brief marriage. I rooted for Hero & heroine to resolve their problems & have a believable HEA. And I was convinced that Hero truly loved heroine to not cheat on her. Love scenes were passionate. Good dialogue.
