To Catch a Playboy
Doctor heroine agrees to date playboy lawyer Hero so she can meet his adopted father who she thinks might be her biological dad. Heroine tries to keep attractive Hero at arms length but he's persistent. Meeting his adopted dad didn't go very well but it gave her permission to finally succumb to Hero's seductive efforts. What heroine didn't bargain for is Hero's dad buying her off to stay away from Hero who he wants married to someone else. What she chooses & how Hero responds to it determines the future of their r/s. This was an average & gradually-developed romance. Pacing & emotionality were moderate. Sexual chemistry was good. Sex scenes were closed-door in detail. Characters were interesting. Heroine was determined to meet her supposed biological father & manipulated Hero's attraction towards her with to meet his parents. She's not a manipulative person per se b/c she struggled with guilt about using Hero who she justified was only after her for her body. Hero was a charming playboy wary of materialistic women. He saw heroine as a challenge due to her not easily succumbing to his charms. But later he pursued her b/c he liked her character.
